The Rosemount 3308 wireless guided wave radar transmitter is a battery-powered WirelessHART level instrument designed for tanks and remote vessels. It eliminates signal and power wiring, measuring liquid level and oil-water interface, and transmitting data wirelessly to the control system.
Perfect for tank farm retrofits and remote sites without power supply, it cuts costs on cables, cable trays and installation work. With Direct Switch Technology, it performs reliably even with foam, vapor and heavy product buildup.

Selection Tips
1. Coaxial probe is recommended for oil-water interface measurement for better signal performance.

Q: Does 3308 require external 24V power?
A: No. It runs on internal lithium battery with WirelessHART, no field power wiring needed.
Q: Can it measure both level and oil-water interface?
A: Yes. Direct Switch Technology provides both liquid level and interface readings.
Q: Does it work with foamy liquid?
A: Yes. Guided wave radar is less affected by foam than non-contact radar. DST helps detect true liquid surface.
