Rosemount™ 2535 Solids Level Switch - Vibrating Rod

The Rosemount 2535 Solids Level Switch is particularly suited for full, demand and empty detection of fine grains and powders in storage and process vessels. It handles light solids and powders with ease and is suitable for use in hazardous and dusty environments. Its simple design makes it reliable, maintenance-free and less prone to clogging compared with other point level measurement technologies.

1. Designed for Light Powders

· Features an innovative vibrating rod design. Compared to a tuning fork, it offers a larger surface area and is extremely sensitive to very low-density materials (as low as 1.5 lb/ft³ or ~24 kg/m³). Ideal for detecting fly ash, calcium carbonate, flour, milk powder, etc.

2. Superior Coating Immunity

· The rod probe and optimized vibration mode help reduce material build-up and coating. Even with some coating, the advanced electronics can distinguish between the coating signal and the actual level signal, minimizing false alarms.

3. No Moving Parts, High Reliability

· Unlike mechanical paddle switches, it has no motor or bearings, completely avoiding failures caused by bearing contamination or material jamming. It offers stable reliability and minimal maintenance in dusty, harsh environments.

4. Flexible Installation and Easy Setup

· Offers multiple installation options, including top-down vertical or side-mounted inclined, to suit different process equipment and detection needs. Adjustable sensitivity allows for optimization based on material characteristics.
